Potato Chips Masala – Tangy, Spiced Potato Wafers

These masala chips start with sliced potatoes fried in edible vegetable oil. They are then coated in Kashmiri red chilli powder, rock salt, dry mango powder and black salt. A touch of sugar and small amounts of cinnamon and cloves complete the masala.

The result is tangy, mildly hot and slightly sweet, which goes well with masala chai or a cold drink. Serve a bowl at parties, pack some for a road trip, or keep a pack handy for movie nights.
