Masala Puri – Crisp Wheat Puris with Cumin and Ajwain

These crisp puris are made from refined and whole wheat flour, rolled thin and fried until golden. The dough is spiced with red chilli, Kashmiri chilli, cumin, ajwain, sesame seeds, turmeric and hing, plus a warm touch of coriander and other whole spices.

Enjoy them on their own, with tangy chutney or pickle, or as a crunchy partner to chai. They are sturdy enough to pack for train journeys, picnics and school lunch boxes.
