Kaju Katri – Classic Diamond-Shaped Cashew Sweet

Kaju katri, also called kaju katli, is made mostly from cashews and sugar. The cashews are ground to a smooth paste, cooked with sugar, rolled thin and cut into neat diamonds. Each piece is finished with edible silver leaf (varakh).

The taste is mild, sweet and nutty, and the texture melts softly in the mouth. It suits Diwali gift boxes, wedding mithai trays, Navratri and Holi hampers, and return gifts. The thin pieces pack and travel well, and children and grandparents alike enjoy them.
