Masala Khari – Spiced Puff Pastry for Tea Breaks

Masala Khari takes the layered, flaky Gujarati bakery khari and gives it a bold spice kick. The dough is made from refined wheat flour and ghee, seasoned with red chilli, cumin, coriander seeds and ajwain.

A warm blend of black pepper, fennel, cloves, cassia, star anise, cardamom and nutmeg rounds out the flavour. Serve it with masala chai or coffee, or keep a pack handy for family tea-time and visiting guests.
