Dhana Daal – Roasted Split Coriander Seed Mukhwas
Dhana daal is the Gujarati name for roasted, split coriander seeds. The seeds are broken into small, crunchy halves with a warm, lightly citrusy aroma. Simple and mild, it is one of the classic mukhwas found on Gujarati dining tables.
Take a small spoonful after lunch or dinner as an after-meal mouth freshener, or pass it round with fennel and other mukhwas when guests visit. You can also stir it into your own mukhwas blend, or add it to a festive mukhwas tray.
