Kesar Roll – Saffron Cashew Roll in Neat Slices

Ground cashews and sugar, flavoured with saffron, are shaped into a firm roll and cut into neat slices. It is made mostly from cashew nuts and sugar, with a little pistachio, and finished with edible silver leaf (varakh). The texture is dense and smooth, so each slice holds its shape.

This kesar sweet suits Diwali, Navratri and wedding sweet boxes, and looks good in corporate gift hampers and family assortments. Serve a slice after dinner or with tea.
